My contextual analysis paper...

So, we have to write a contextual analysis, and I really have no clue which direction to go. The options are endless. Should I continue on with the Obama/Joker poster? I just don't know. I'm leaning toward going in another direction. I am sort of sick of that picture. It's weak and is easily dissected. I need something with a little more substance, so to speak. So, if you have any suggestions what I can do my paper on, feel free to post them here. All suggestions are welcome! Thanks.

  1. maybe you can take a step back from a political approach since you did the obama/joker poster and try for something more personal. it doesn't have to be an image.. maybe a book or even song that has meant something to you. i think it's easier to talk about the context and meaning of a piece of rhetoric when it affected you on a personal level.

  2. I agree with writing a paper about a personal issue/subject. When you use a personal, meaningful thing to you, you have more fun writing the paper and time doesn't pass as slowly. By the time you look up, your paper is basically already done because you are having fun with it. Good luck!
